Chinese Academy of Sciences recruits 1000 foreigners
Bai Chunli, the president of Chinese Academy of Sciences, invited foreign scientists to join the innovation team of the academy, to be a member and surmount scientific and technical difficulties of the world together with Chinese scientists, during the 2011 Chinese Academy of Sciences Senior International Scientists and Young International Scientists Exchange Seminar held in Beijing on June 9.Both the Chinese Academy of Sciences Visiting Professorship for Senior International Scientists and Chinese Academy of Sciences Fellowship for Young International Scientists were launched in 2009. A total of 477 senior international scientists and 179 young international scientists have been introduced by the two plans, which have drawn the attention of the world.
In addition, more than 70 planned participators from different countries and different fields will exchange their living experience and research achievements during the two-day seminar in Beijing.
It is reported that the visiting professorship is set to invite excellent scientists with a professional technical position of deputy professor or above doing scientific and research work in famous universities or research agencies outside China to conduct cooperative research in the Chinese Academy of Sciences, ranging from two months to 12 months.
